How to judge roofing work
A roof is the one system that protects every other part of a building, which is why the way a contractor inspects matters more than the brochure. A thorough look covers flashing, penetrations, valleys and decking — not just the field of shingles — because that is where water actually finds its way in.
Roof lifespan depends more on installation quality and attic ventilation than on the material alone. Poor ventilation cooks shingles from underneath, and incorrect nailing patterns void many manufacturer warranties. The useful questions to ask any roofer are about process and sequence, not only price.

RSG Roofing did an excellent job on my roof! The owners take the time to explain everything that will be done and stay during the job to ensure it is completed to full satisfaction. Old roof removed and new roof with bad boards, pipe boots and vent replaced all in a day. They covered with tarps and cleaned up. It looks great!!
